Elephants dating back from beyond antiquity have often been and are deeply regarded in the animal kingdom by an array of cultures, backgrounds, religions, and belief systems. Worth noting, and to a marked extent, members of the Elephantoidea family have an especially substantial and vast effect on not just their surroundings but to their ecosystems in their entirety, as would naturally elevate them to a status known as keystone species.

Here, Christ is portrayed in a rendering of Gian Lorenzo Bernini’s sculpture Salvator Mundi. Collated with an abstracted background, the piece projects an unusual combination of timeless classical sculpture with abstract themes from a more contemporary art period. The halo effect around Jesus was achieved through decorative stamp gilding with pure 24 karat gold leaf. This is the artist’s first piece among his inaugural painted works in Acrylics.
